The Grand National.

This year, as ever, the Grand National sparked chaos and voices from activists all over the world, and i was one of them. I never have and never will, gamble for the lives of animals. Because, that's what the Grand National is about, placing money, on which animal you think will come out alive. TWO horses died yesterday, they spent hours being groomed by their owners, just to go home on the back of a lorry. However these two horses weren't the first to die a premature death due to the 'sport', there's a list of fatalities within the horses over many years. But what do they expect? The legs of the horses are too long for them to have any control over, the horses are still young and growing when they are forced to run. In my opinion, its neither fun, nor a sport watching these animals crash, face first into the ground. And really you've got to think, if two jockey's had died yesterday, would this 'sport' continue each year? no. So, what gives us the right to put our welfare below theirs?
